Types of Residence Permits
Work Residence:

Required Documents
- • Valid passport for at least 6 months
- • Valid entry visa
- • Certified health certificate
- • Criminal record certificate from country of origin

Duration and Renewal
Residence Duration:
- • Work residence: One year renewable
- • Investment residence: 3-5 years
- • Student residence: Duration of studies
Renewal Conditions:
- • Submit renewal application one month before expiry
- • Continued fulfillment of original residence conditions
- • No criminal record
Penalties and Fines
Expired residence permit:
Fine of 500 EGP per month of delay
Working without permit:
Fine from 5000 to 20000 EGP + possible deportation
Not registering address:
Fine of 1000 EGP
